Abstraction and Its History

Charlesworth in current Art Review describes it thus: "If you were born after 1984, apparently, you'll be unstoppably drawn to creating surfaces that are iterated through some kind of procedure or logic or use of chance event....while keeping image, gesture and reference well out of the picture...."
